Wellbeing

At our school, student wellbeing and learning go hand in hand. We want every student to feel safe, included and ready to learn. Whether your child needs help with their mental, emotional, social or physical wellbeing, we are here to help them thrive at school and in daily life.

Our approach to student wellbeing

At Coogee Public School, student wellbeing is a priority. It is guided by Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL), which sets clear expectations for students as learners and members of our community. We also offer targeted programs to support children’s emotional and social development. For example, Grow Your Mind teaches resilience, kindness, and emotional wellbeing, helping students build strong relationships, confidence, and a sense of belonging.

Central to our approach are our Learning Powers, which help students become resilient, confident learners. Through these, students learn to:

These skills prepare children not only for success at school, but also for lifelong learning and personal growth.
